Pro 1/2 Race Pics - July 14th

Crazy 80lap race around a 1/2mile circuit. Someone told me lap times were 30-35 seconds. I think i was getting dizzy at one point. Anyway, I was sitting about 10th wheel coming into the last corner and my front der. dropped into my crank and completely locked up my drivetrain and back wheel. I walk the bike across the line.

FOS Easter Ride
Monday, 21 April 2008

With no race anywhere locally, Frank and I decided to do the FOS Easter Ride at Governors State University in University Park, IL and treat it as a 2-man time trial. Frank met me at my house in Beecher at we cruised out at 6:45 to ride over to the registration approx 14 miles away. After registration we cruised the parking lot to find a couple others to share in the days misery. With very little luck we were only able find the imfamous Sean Metz... We left the parking lot at 8:00 on the nose and kept a civil pace for the first 3/4 mile. Soon we were crusing at 23+ mph and bombing corners. Iits safe to say we were hellbent on trashing ourselves (and others) before the days end. Somewhere around 45/50 mile into the 68 mile route we lost Sean. We continues to ride strongly until we got back to the start. We quickly rolled thru the parking lot and crusied back my my house in beecher. We ended the day with 94 miles all before 11:30.
